I just started this class but this looks awesome. The writer, Robert Olen Butler, records his word by word writing process. He only picked the story the morning of the first recording. He will take us through the entire process with all it’s ugliness, bad writing, and dead ends.
One tip he gave that I had no idea about was that Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary gives the year the word was introduced into the language. This is useful in period pieces to make sure dialogue spoken is as accurate as you want it to be. To get your copy click here: Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary
