Here is a quick tip to fellow videographers and photographers. We currently use Tave to run our studio.  It handles our scheduling, invoicing, and some of our communication.  It also has some project management features that we utilize.

It is a very powerful tool and quite affordable.

We have tried other solutions like ShootQ and an ad hoc system of Google Docs with Gmail.  First, Google Docs and Gmail is barely ok for organizing a one man show.  It gets confusing very quickly and projects can fall through the cracks very easily.

ShootQ worked ok but it was extremely counter-intuitive.  They may have gone through an overhaul since we left so I can’t talk about how it is today.  All I know is that I am extremely tech savvy and I had a hard time with it.  It was quite frustrating.

Tave on the other hand is a blessing.  We love it!  It is so simple to use and understand.  Of course, there is some set up and transition but I highly recommend it.  It has helped us take our business to the next level.

Plus, the support is awesome.  Just send an email or chat and you get an answer right away.  The Facebook group is also very helpful.
