New Interesting Canon Lenses – Could Be Good for Video

First, is the 16-35mm f/4 L IS lens.  The interesting part of this is that it is IS which means that it is Image Stabilized.  This helps in video mode to get smoother camera moves.  Plus, the price is $1,199.

Next for crop sensor cameras that have the APS-C sensor and EF-S mount, you can get the incredibly affordable 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 also with IS and STM.  This means it is also image stabilized and has a stepper motor system to help with autofocus in video mode.  We recently purchased the Canon SL1 as a 3rd body and this could be a great compliment to that camera and our setup.  This might be the best valued lens compared to other lenses in this class:  the Tokina 11-16, the Sigma 10-20, the Canon 10-22, and the Rokinon 14mm.
