Hawaiian Electric celebrated its 125th anniversary with 125 acts of aloha. With special guests at the celebration including Honolulu’s Mayor in attendance, HEI Charitable Foundation and Hawaiian Electric companies came together to donate 10 electric vehicles to support non-profits in Hawaii.

Electric Vehicles help with climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and non-profit organizations including Aloha United Way, KUPU, Hawaii Cares, Hawai’i Meals on Wheels and BikeShare received vehicles to both support their work, as well as demonstrate the social change needed.

The event and vehicles highlight the importance of building a path for a greener, sustainable future in Hawaii. To make a better Hawaii and find out more information, check out HEI’s website: https://www.hawaiianelectric.com/
