My Grandparent’s Wedding Video (Film)

Last weekend I was volunteering in the archives at the Bishop Museum and found a film of my grandparent’s wedding.  Miraculously, someone filmed the wedding on an old Super8 film camera.

Now I had to find someone who had a Super8 projector, but I called around and was eventually able to find one to rent.  Of course, I invested the money to see this film.  And I’m glad I did.  I was able to peer into the lives of my grandparents and see them young and in love.  It was a rare treat and I am glad I had the opportunity to see it.

I can not get over how happy and in love they were.  It’s funny how you grow up with a certain perception of the people you love.  Then you get an opportunity to see them like this in a totally different light.  It is really cool.  And of course, I am going to get this transferred to digital so that my grandchildren can see it.

What if I told you I found a copy of a wedding film of your grandparent’s wedding?

Would you want to see it?  I bet you would.

Shouldn’t you consider filming your wedding and having at least a record to show your grandkids one day?  To learn more about our wedding video packages, click here.

Video helps your business

I recently watched a few episodes of Nova (www.pbs.org) and saw how scientists that are changing the world were deeply influenced by the film and TV that they watched.  One scientist saw the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and it drove him to discover the chemical and portion of the brain that can erase memories.

Or I was doing some shopping online and wanted to learn more about a particular monopod.  I went to youtube.com to find a video demonstration or review.  The only one I could find was in another language.  I think it was Italian.  But I watched it anyway and I was able to get the info I needed because the reviewer demonstrated the use of the monopod.

Plus, I heard that video on your website helps get more qualified visitors to your website.  Which could, of course, lead to more sales.  Here are a couple of articles on that:

How awesome is that?  Make a video.  Change the world and make some sales.  It just goes to show the power of video.

If you want to get a video done of you or your business, let us know.  We can help.  We are developing an awesome package for businesses of all sizes to get a video presence on the web, DVD, and even on TV.  Stayed tuned or contact us to get the heads up.

Aloha,

-Jeff

P.S.  Here is that video on the monopod I am thinking about getting.  BTW, if you’re asking, “what’s a monopod?”  It’s sort of like a tripod but with only one leg.  It helps stabilize a camera.

What’s been happening?

Just a quick update.  In the past few weeks I was on the TV crew for the live telethon broadcast for Kokua for Japan.  That was pretty cool.   A live simulcast on TV, radio, satellite,  and internet.  I got to work with some awesome people especially the folks at  Simple Media Hawaii and NEP.  We help raised well over $1.6 million.

Also I edited eight 30 second spots for my friends at JN Productions.  That was a lot of fun and look forward to working more with them.  They are a great bunch of people.

And just yesterday, I helped out the folks at Kinetic Alter Ego on a small shoot.  I was helping on the shoot with a very lovely couple.  Good luck to Cindy and Kyle!  It was great working with everyone.

Aloha
