Outrigger Canoe Club Wedding Highlight Film for Ty and Greg

Again, an awesome couple and an incredible sunset.

Robby and Sharon Highlight Film – Honolulu Waikiki Aquarium Wedding

Lovely day and lovely couple. We had a ton of fun shooting this wedding. What an incredible sunset.

This is the Same Day Edit of Robby and Sharon as they left the LDS Temple in Laie.  We are not allowed to film inside the LDS Temple, but we made due.

Sorry for the short post, I will update with more details shortly.  We have to prep for a big day of shooting three different things tomorrow.  A wedding in the morning, a commercial in the afternoon, then a Military homecoming in the late afternoon.

What a great month and a great people to work with.

Thank you, Max (my son)!  And all of you that support us.  We love and appreciate you.

Michelle and Scott, Lanikuhonua Wedding – Ko Olina, Oahu, HI

(Please note, the video is pretty high quality and you may need to press play, then press pause to let it load up first.  Then it should play smoother.  I hope that makes sense.)

What a great couple and a great day at Lanikuhonua in Ko Olina.

Michelle, Scott, and their families were wonderful.

This is a highlight film for Michelle and Scott.  They were blessed with a visit from a turtle and an incredible sunset.  We went all out for this wedding with the crane and the Steadicam.  Plus we had so much fun shooting that day.  We have so much awesome footage, that it is tough to decide what to put on the highlight film.  And it was great working with such awesome vendors like Photography by Joseph Esser and Wedding Coordination by Cherished in Hawaii.

We hope you enjoy the film.

Honing Our Craft

This Tall Woman is Richelle of Cherry Blossom Caberet. She was an awesome model. Thanks!

We are constantly improving what we do.  In that effort, we are always pushing ourselves to try new things and learn different or new techniques.  We also take the occasional class to expand our horizons.

I had the distinct honor and privilege to take a class with Pulitzer Prize, Finalist Frederic Larson.

We shot a variety of subjects.  Here are a couple of shots I took that I enjoy.

This text animal was photgraphed at the ARTS at Marks Garage's Slow Art Friday Free Block Party.

This incredible flower was photographed at the Foster Botanical Garden.

Here is a time lapse test of the moon.  Still learning to shoot awesome shots of the moon, but the only way to get better is by getting out there and doing it.

If you ever have any photographic needs, please let us know.  Or if you would like prints of our photos, please do not hesitate to ask.  We would be honored to have our work in your home or office.

Interesting Things Happening

We are having a blast following our calling in film and television production.  I thought I would update you on the things that are happening in our neck of the woods.  We recently got a few more toys pieces of equipment.  We now have a cool all-terrain, waterproof/underwater HD camera that can do some really cool things like timelapse or give me an excuse to take the board out and shoot some footage.

Here is some test footage:

Not the greatest timelapse ever, but I wanted to test out this built-in feature.  Time lapse if achievable with our other cameras, but this is so easy to use that it’s nice to just set it and forget it.

We also got another toy High Definition camera that its cult=like followers users say has better quality than anything out there.  I don’t agree, but I do believe it is pretty darn good!  Not my favorite camera in my arsenal, but I am very fond of it.  Maybe it is my second or third favorite.  We got to use in on a recent shoot.  The highlight video for that is here:

Some sample footage of the camera is here.  Please note this was just a quick little test and it is totally handheld, so it is a bit shaky.  But what I love about it is its flexibility with lens choice.  Also notice the shallow depth of field but sharpness in the hair (you may have to pause in order to see what I’m talking about).

Also, we are working on a new commercial for a super-cool client in Waikiki and Maui.  This was an awesome shoot.  We got to use the crane, the mini-dolly, and a new tripod head.  (Sorry, the film geeks will know what I’m talking about.)  What a fun group and a cool store!  Once we finalize the edit, we will be sure to share that with you.  And I’ll give you the details on getting some cool vintage t-shirts!

We’re in the middle of our edits on a few projects:  the tv shows, the project with Oil in the Alley, and other fun stuff.

Please let us know how we can help you.  We love what we do and have capacity to take on additional projects at this time.

Thanks and take care,

-Jeff Orig

Paradise Cove Wedding

This wedding film was created at Paradise Cove here on Oahu.  The couple, family, staff, and other vendors were awesome as usual.

We have the distinct privilege to work with the coolest people on the planet.  It is always an honor to be part of someone’s wedding.  We take great care and pride in adding our film and video knowledge to a family’s wedding experience.

We know how important and special it is and we love doing what we do.  When we get a chance to combine the two, it is exciting and rewarding.

I hope you enjoy the film!

We’re doing it again! A huge wedding video sale.

Yes, they are happy we are having such a huge sale on our wedding packages. Photo by: Bingbing.

Amazing 25% off sale on our wedding video/wedding cinematography packages!

We are having so much fun working with awesome couples to help make their day special, we are taking our already great value and making it even better.

Go to our weddings page here to learn more.

As always, please feel free to ask us questions or set up a time to get coffee or juice to learn more about what we have to offer.

And if you are still on the fence about getting a film done, just ask yourself this.  If there was a video of your grandparent’s wedding, would you want to see it?  I think you will be happy 5, 10, 20 years from now when you can look back on this special day.

Hale Koa Wedding Film

This is a wedding film we just shot and edited on Friday at the lovely Hale Koa Hotel in Waikiki.  We are wrapping up the DVD, but we wanted to share the highlight film.

The vows were so beautiful.  I am such a sucker for a wedding.  I always tear up at the ceremony.  I am sorry if I tear up at your wedding, but hopefully the emotion passes through to the film.

The weather was a bit unpredictable, but the bride and groom were so awesome and handled it all with grace and composure.  It turned out to be a wonderful ceremony and day.

We feel so honored and blessed to be a part of their wedding day.  We hope that they enjoy their wedding film for generations to come.

Congratulations to Julie and Chris!  We love you guys.  Take care and let us know if we can do anything for you.

With Love,

Jeff Orig and the Orig Media family
